“An intoxicating fusion of folk, pop, soul and rock.”

- Earmilk / Named “2025 Artists to Watch”

Bio

Classically-trained cellist and singer-songwriter Dan Radin is on a mission to entertain and delight audiences by reinventing the role of the cello in popular music.

Since moving to Austin in 2015, Radin established himself as a go-to hired gun cellist, backing contestants from The Voice and American Idol, performing SXSW showcases, and opening for Grammy Winners. When the pandemic hit, he made a bold pivot: leaving his corporate sales job and raising nearly $30,000 from a grassroots fan base to fund a debut album that would put his original music in the spotlight for the first time. Combining his classical training and a sharp ear for hooks, Dan built a sound all his own: cinematic indie-pop by one of the only singing cellists in modern music.

Now 3 years sober and fueled by an unshakable work ethic, the cellist/singer-songwriter has become the embodiment of pushing boundaries and blazing your own path. With his upcoming self-produced record Play, he explores the tension between youth and adulthood, control and chaos, sobriety and temptation- all while redefining what a modern frontman can sound like.
